Inside Barn Croft Holiday Cottage

Barn Croft is a semi-detached holiday cottage of traditional Cornish construction. Thick stone walls (some over a foot thick) are interspersed with brick and wood, exposed wooden beams and wooden floors. We believe it was previously used in the late 19th century as a barn, just as the name might suggest, and converted into living accommodation in the ‘90’s.

On the ground floor are the living/dining room, kitchen, hall and bathroom. The kitchen has modern Hygena units, work surfaces and sink. It is well equipped with an electric cooker, hob and extractor fan together with a fridge, microwave cooker, electric kettle and toaster. There is a full range of cutlery, cups, saucers, plates, dishes and cooking utensils. A washer/dryer is located in the utility cupboard under the stairs.

The living / dining room is carpeted and there is a comfortable leather sofa, two lounge chairs, dining table and four wooden dining chairs. There is a colour TV with teletext, DVD/CD player and a small selection of DVD’s for your use. There is also a small range of books, maps, games and leaflets provided.

Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with a WC, washbasin, bath, electric shower and central heating radiator.

Upstairs, the two bedrooms on the first floor are reached by a wooden stair. The first bedroom has a double bed whilst the second bedroom has two separate 2'6" wooden beds.

Both bedrooms have views that overlook the front of Barn Croft. There are unobstructed views of parkland, fields and the cliff tops above Porthleven.

Barn Croft has LPG central heating, double glazing throughout and loft insulation. The electricity, gas and water will all be switched on ready your arrival so the cottage will be warm, snug and cosy with hot running water on demand !
