Welcome to Barn Croft Holiday Cottage in Cornwall
Barn Croft is a two-bedroomed cottage, sleeping 4, offering a peaceful haven in which to relax at any time of the year. It is suitable for all sorts of holidays and breaks for couples and families alike, whether you seek peace, quiet and tranquillity, walking or are simply enjoying a holiday break with family or friends It is easily accessible to so many interesting places whether touring by car, motor bike, cycling, walking or just ambling along.
Barn Croft is ideally situated for touring all of west Cornwall and is a really superb base for exploring the South Cornwall coast path with magnificent scenery and unspoiled coastline. There are lots of sandy beaches within easy walking distance. Loe Bar and Loe Pool are nearby with the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall. The Lizard peninsula, Helston, Penzance, Land's End, Mousehole and Newlyn for instance, are all close by. There are abundant walks all around Barn Croft where the walker is rewarded with plentiful wildlife, beautiful coastal views and secluded woodlands.

The garden has outdoor furniture consisting of a double metal framed bench with wooden slats, circular table with cotton awning and four chairs. The lawned areas outside Barn Croft can be used for meals, picnics and barbeques. Imagine enjoying a glass of your favourite wine on a summer evening with family and friends, even just reading or relaxing in the sun. Barn Croft is a peaceful haven that is far away from the bustle of 20th century life.
Porthleven is situated on the south coast of Cornwall and lies between The Lizard and Land's End, to the west of the Lizard peninsula. It faces south-west across Mounts Bay towards Penzance and the Scilly Isles. It is located about 3 miles south of Helston (home of the furry dance) on the B3304, just off the A394 between Helston to Penzance.
There is also a rather yummy delicatessen just around the corner from Barn Croft, near the church and next door to the Fish n’ Chip shop. A second fish n’ chip shop can be found nearer the harbour. The fish n’ chips are rather delicious ! A rather good Chinese take away is just over the road next door to the Post Office.
There are so many really good cafes, tea shops, pubs and restaurants in Porthleven that it is very difficult to recommend any particular one. Porthleven is spoilt for eateries ! Kote (well known for its fish food), The Harbour Inn, Bistro Cafe, Nauti But Ice, The Ship Inn, The Blue Haze Inn, The Smoke House, The Lugger Bistro etc.. I would suggest that if you have the time, money and waistline that you try them all and judge for yourself !
